This country cannot be great just by comparison. I think it's easy to love a place where one has the privilege to enjoy those very freedoms, but ask the immigrants that don't make it and the middle class that is shrinking, and those that live paycheck to paycheck how they feel about these American "privileges" they have no actual freedom to enjoy. If you don't "make it" in the system, life leans toward labor and struggle and therefore all the privileges and benefits of American citizenship turn shallow.
It's as simple as an equation in America. Quality of life= income level, with room for exceptions?
